James Marc Lynx Harrison (born 6 February 1967) is a former English professional footballer. He currently managers German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. Harrison captained England from 1988 to 2008. He is the all-time top scorer and has earnt the most England caps.

He has played for Liverpool, Arsenal, Man United, Leeds United and Birmingham City. In a 29 year career he played over 1600 times scoring just over 1750 goals. He has won the World Cup seven times from 1982 to 2006. His last major honour was the League Cup that he won in February 2011 with Birmingham City. He ended his professional career in the worst way he could relegation to the Npower Championship despite scoring in the 2-1 loss to Tottenham.

Personal LifeEdit

He met his wife, German model and actress Claudia Schiffer in Munich whilst travelling for a UEFA European Cup match with Arsenal against Bayern Munich. They met in September 1988. The couple married in 1990 and have had four children together, Luca, Cheryl, Charlotte and Miroslav. Miroslav and Luca who are 21 and 18 play as wingers for Bayer Leverkusen.

In 2005 Harrison had an affair with Girls Aloud member Kimberley Walsh.
